Hello my friends,

I pray you all had a glorious Sunday! :) I wanted to thank you all for wanting to participate in my upcoming Solo CD Project. I greatly appreciate you all very much and I guarantee that we will have a lot of fun over then next several months putting this CD together.

So please keep a close eye on your emails because before too long, I will begin emailing out the details of how you, yes YOU, can get involved and have a part in the creation of this meaningful CD and the ministry that is within it!

I am also considering YOUR thoughts and ideas so if you have some cool, "off-the-hook" IDEAS that relate to this project, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to incorporate them into the CD project in some way, shape or form.

To my brothers and sisters in Christ, January 13, 2008

I write this letter to you with the intention of informing you all of the decisions I have made in order to fulfill the purpose and ministry that the Lord has placed upon my heart and soul. I would rather have seen you all in person to deliver this message but due to the fact that it was laid upon my heart to deliver this message to you today as well as the fact that we all go to different churches now and have different schedules, I found it necessary to inform you via letter by email. I will also post this on all related websites and profiles as to inform all who are concerned with the matter as well as any fans that may want to know.

Last year was a fabulous year! Through our individual and combined faith, the Lord used us as Birthright to spread the gospel of His Word and His Son to many youth as well as adults and to all who would hear. We were blessed to experience the joys, the pains, the failures and the successes of playing live shows and even opening for several different nationally known bands. We had begun to be fairly known in the local music arena and there were many loyal and dedicated fans that were not only just fans for us and our music but more importantly fans of the message of Jesus Christ that we shared with others through the music. We inspired, encouraged and hopefully had a major impact on several lives throughout our limited travels. We also learned a lot about the ups and downs of the music business. Most importantly, we learned that we all have faults and we fail over and over again but that by the power of God, it is those who fail the most that are also the biggest successes when we strive to do God’s will and not that of our own.

That brings me to the point of this letter and that is to say, that even though I know the contents herein might hurt somebody’s feelings or make somebody angry, I MUST NOT be persuaded by “man’s” opinions, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc., but rather wholly and completely persuaded by what I truly believe to be God’s will for my life. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion after much thought, prayer, study and the seeking of God’s will for my life and ministry, that I must resign as the lead singer, song writer, guitarist and composer for Birthright. It has been a great journey together, filled with many blessings, and I pray that success finds all of you in whatever your passion may be and I encourage you to carry on with the band, the music and most of all, our Lord’s work and ministry.

Even though we’ve had our differences, I must say that, for the most part, I have greatly enjoyed serving the Lord and playing music with you all. I ask only for your prayers as I depart, that the Lord will continue to do a mighty work through us all even as we travel down different paths of life. May the joys of the Lord be bestowed upon each one of you in great abundance!
