MA shows, & host a Jess Yoakum house concert?

Hey guys,

Happy summer! I hope it's treating you well so far... I know the weather continues to be pretty wacky, but, I'm still grateful for the sun and the green!

I am also grateful for the very creative spring I had that has led to new bookings, recordings, and more writing (including piano songs) this summer! I've also recently re-vamped my website, so I hope you will check it out: www.jessyoakum.com.

And, I'm very pleased to announce the following shows coming up in the Boston area...

Sunday, August 3rd
Day of Hope Darfur
2:00-5:00 PM
Institute Park, Salisbury Street
Worcester, MA
Info: http://savedarfurma.googlepages.com/events

Wednesday, August 6th
A Night with the Songwriters of JP Unplugged
8:00PM
Café 939
939 Boylston St
Boston, MA
http://www.cafe939.com/

I'll be singing my new piano-based songs at the Café 939 show (with Damien Bracken on piano), so I hope you can be there for their first public performances!

I am also hoping to book some house concerts this fall alongside the more "traditional-type" venues. But, for that I need your help! Would you please consider hosting me in your home? Basically all you need is a regular sized living room or back yard (with good weather), some friends, and some promoting... and voila!

Check out this short video on hosting to learn more about being a host: http://www.concertsinyourhome.com/how-to

The dates and areas that would work well for me are:

Saturday, September 27
Saturday, October 25
Saturday, November 15
Saturday, December 6

Metro-Boston, Portsmouth, NH, Portland, ME, Brattleboro, VT,
Northampton, MA, Providence, RI, NYC (including any of the Boroughs or
surrounding towns in NJ)

Please email me directly if you are willing and interested: jess@jessyoakum.com

Your fan,

Jess Yoakum
