Update!

Hey all... long time since last blog but thought I would give you all a general update! This weekend going to be making another patch of CDs... this time with with a proper CD case and therefore the price will be budged up to around £7. However, soft case version will still be available.

Haven't been working on my solo project for as I have been work with Locriana (formally DMP) and my brand new Project Nazgul.

Basically Nazgul is Something I started with my friends Tyler and Liam and we are going to be delivering all types of metal. Check out our debut track Backstabber at www.reverbnation.com/nazgulband.

However apart from working on Nazgul late last week i have started writing a Small E.P entitled Beyond Reality. This E.P will contain some of the heaviest Stuff I have ever written. But along with the heaviest it will also be far more proggy then Anything that i have ever done. Containing a Track Call Hope is not Lost part II which is 12 minute long epic and working! Also this contains a track called spring Trance which has been heavily influenced my Minimalist Composer's Steve Reich. And finally containing a Tack entitle An Acoustic Evening which is my first ever acoustic Track

So there ya have it been hard work and also forgot to mention that I am looking for a drummer for Nazgul so if your interested get in touch!!

Update and About Track 1 All Gone Away

Hey everyone once again for another week. (and that is one week closer to the release date of my debut album Hope Is Not Lost! This week i have been focusing on finishing off the hidden track that will only be availble if you buy the Limited Edtion CD edtion of my album that (I will tell you once again will be out sometime in December)

Oh yeah about the release date - The next few weeks are gunna be hetic for me as i have gigs and other suprises planned during december but i will try my hardest and atleast get my music up on iTunes during the first week of DEC

Another thing i thought that would make this blog slighly more interesting if I tell you (week by week) how i wrote some of the songs on my debut album! So this week i am going to start by telling you how i wrote the opening track 'All Gone Away'

All Gone Away
This is probably the most mellow track on the album but i feel that the feel of the song is very much appoipete to the rest of the Album. Based round a simple two chord chord progression it seem while listening to it that there is quite a negative, almost sad feel to the song but to the end strings enter and build up and (IMO) giving the song 'hope'. Which, even though keeps the two same chords through out gives the ending of the song quite an optimistic ending.

The biggest influence on this track was definately Mike Oldfields Music of Sphere which (even though a classical, new wave album)is by far one of my all time favourites and i think with out this album i would not be creating the music i am now!

Oh yeah! even thought this was the opening track to the album it is probably one of the last songs i wrote for it (which was in march/april 09) and for me this was a (I wouldnt say difficult time for me) but definatly different which envolved for me a time of moving on and 'letting go' and whatever the hell you wanna call it and i found writing this song away as my own personal closure. So even though it is a simple and very ambient song this song this song has a lot of meaning to me!

Lead up to first album release

Hey everyone it been over a year since i posted a blog in here and i thought it was about time! Ok, where to start... Well basically at the start of the summer holidays i thought to my self "right, time to get my music out there" and basically i have been advertising my music on facebook, forums and anywhere else i could!

Over the last few weeks i have also recored the final few songs for my debut album which will be entitled Hope is Not lost. It will consist of 11 tracks which i have recorded over the last two years and also for the first month of it's release i will have a special edtion which will have a hidden track

The realease date for this album is planned to be sometime this december. Even though i have all the songs i need i just need to sort out the CD casing, logo, CD booklet and so on. So there is still quite a lot of work to be done!

And as of next week I will be starting a weekly video blog that will include my latest news on where the album is at plus some other stuff, i.e me playing some of the songs, telling you how and wrote them and so on so that should be quite good!

Finally, none of the work that i have done so far would not have been possible if it weren't for Chris Frost with all the help over the years and Pete Rogers for all the support and oppotunities he has giving me within the last few months!

Oh yeah oh yeah ONE MORE thing... i dont want to give to much away but... you know what i will leave it to the next blog!
