Life is Like a Supermarket - (Lyric)

Life is like a Supermarket.
Call this my epithany
All of us are products
But we're priced and branded differently
All of us a shelf-life
Before we dissappear
and end up in a section
Labelled Reduced to clear

Inside this place is exactly what you need
Packaged just the way you like it
(It's a case of trying to find it)
Misdirected I'm guided
Through aisles divided
Smells, sights and sounds
My senses are blinded

Reminding me that the focus should be
on what you are supposed to see
not what you are looking for
(I'm deep behind enemy lines in this consumer war)

There's the academic types
That like to spend their time
Checking dates in a panic
Is it processed or organic?

Life is like a Supermarket.
Call this my epithany
All of us are products
But we're priced and branded differently
All of us a shelf-life
Before we dissappear
and end up in a section
Labelled Reduced to clear

There's the decisive types...
Who want to be in and out
Military style planning
Eyes roving and scanning
Smug because they made the time to write a list
If they left it down to chance
(Something might get missed)

There are the lost souls (lost souls)
Who move with the winds
Sucked in by special offers
Hidden inside bargin bins

Not sure what they came in for
At the mercy of persuassion
Obeying tannoy demands
For fear of confrontation

Life is like a Supermarket.
Call this my epithany
All of us are products
But priced and branded differently
All of us a shelf-life
Before we dissappear
and end up in a section
Labelled Reduced to clear

Propaganda (short spoken word piece)

It takes a two bit preacher
With only half a brain
To convince those with nothing to lose
That they have everything to gain

Philosophy; the question you can't answer
Religion is the answer you can't question
So I chose to skip the lesson

Disreguarding institution
Amounts to nothing less
Than emotional prostitution
(Except the cost is far less)

It's heartless.
Cold like a shark in the antartic
Bury my head in the sand
The sound of silence is cathartic

The sound of violence is starting
Flowers of war are in bloom
Spin the globe in rose petals
(The view is darker from the tomb)

Apartheid.
Iron curtains and cynanide

On the other side of the fence..
Genecide.

War on us
War on you
War on you
War on us
We believe what we're told
It's a relationship of trust

I trust in the powers that be
to follow greed
I trust the powers that be
To not give a damn about you and me

So who do you trust in?
When people claim wrong or right
The converted?
The one's who walk the path towards the light?
Revolutionaries?
Who see the world according to their fight
Or the men in grey suits?
that only think in black or white?

Well it's a question...
So that brings it back to philosophy
If it was written in the stars
Then i would study astronomy

Religion is impotent
But in the hand of a hollow fist
Given the right twist
It takes on the role of apologist

A two bit preacher
With only half a brain
Convinced those with nothing to lose
that they had everything to gain
