Running Through The Finish Line

For almost 8 years I've been either mentally or physically working on my 'soon to be released' album - 'So Much For Innocence'. I could list dozens of reasons why it's taken this long to bring it to fruition but I won't bore you. The fact is that it is now a reality. We're weeks away from the release and I feel a strong sense of calm knowing that it will finally be behind me and I can move on to my next record. For years it felt like an insurmountable obstacle that I'd never be able to transcend. A unique set of circumstances re-kindled a fire in me to stop making excuses and get it finished. We are unique creatures... We torture ourselves with procrastination and so quickly forget how incredible it feels to break through the barriers to our goals. Recently I've been inspired by a man named David Goggins and his story. He's not a self help guy, He's simply a man that chose to do great things. I'm going to finish this blog post by writing out the bones of a thought that I had the other day. It went something like this - 'We have no one to blame or to congratulate for anything that happens to us in our lives.' We mold the course of our destiny. It may sound trite, but it's true. Take care everyone, Thank You all for supporting me as we get closer to the release. The party is July 15, 2017 at One2One in Austin TX. For information about the show including ticket info, check out the event section on my music page or visit my website www.ryandesiato.com RD

One Step At A Time

After careful reflection and a spur of the moment decision, I've decided to record another full album to release alongside my long over due record - "So Much For Innocence" The new album will be a collection of songs that lean more toward my acoustic, solo sound. It's been a few years since I recorded SMFI and as an artist that feel strongly about staying current within myself, have to do this. I know it will hold up SMFI even longer but it will make me happy to be represented both currently and with this older 'new' record. So that is where things are right now. If you have questions for me about these projects please reach out to us and ask. Thank you for your patience and take care everyone! Sincerely Ryan DeSiato

Getting Back to Work

I've taken my artistic license and had my reflective time to ponder way too much. Time to get back to the inspiration and playing my music for you guys. I've done the emotional mercenary thing for a while now and although its been great, it's also detracted. I hope everyone that follows me here will forgive my long absence and come join me for the fun ahead. Love you guys. . .

Upcoming Austin Ryan DeSiato Band Shows.

Tonight I had the pleasure of siting down and catching up with my friends from Lucky Lounge in Austin. Very excited to announce that the new RD band will be headlining a couple (soon to be announced) weekends in April. This will coincide with the release of my new album. I absolutely can't wait to see everyone again and be performing with this incredible band. My next solo show will be March 9th for the SXSW interactive. Thank you guys for the love. See you soon.
Ryan DeSiato Band

After a great deal of searching for the right person to round out the band dynamic, Christina and I have found the missing link. His name is Laurence Vines and he’s an extremely gifted and wonderful human being. The chemistry is undeniable and it shouldn’t take us long to prepare for our debut.
So here’s how the next few months will unfold for the band and new album. The new RDB will be stepping out to play a few shows in April/May. Around that time we will announce the release date of my (very) long awaited full-length album as well as tour dates to support the release.
I’m really looking forward to releasing this ‘Thing’. I feel a bit like Gollum from the Lord of the Rings movies… I’ve grown territorial of my precious.
Truth is, its time to move on and let you guys have this creature.
I feel very blessed to have worked with such insanely brilliant talent on this brainchild. I’ll have to save a bit about that for another blog. Blessings All- Ryan
Creating Creation

The past month has been such a blast! I'm in the process of writing and demoing new songs for my new band. I've been so involved in recording my new albums that I had forgotten the joys of writing. What I've found is that in venturing into these new songs has re-ignited my love for the albums that I've been, at times trudging through creatively. Its been an amazing revelation and a total win win. I feel like this is the inspirational push I needed to finally complete these labors of love. I look forward to sharing all of this new music with everyone. As of now I'm staying focused on the work behind the scenes and don't plan on playing live for at least another month or so. Thanks everyone for the support and love... Ryan

Connecting

The last few weeks I've been stepping out from behind the curtain of the recording studio and embracing the online world in a very proactive way. My two new albums will be released soon and I realized that its time for me to connect with my fans and other artists. Not simply to promote these records but to find and connect with new people to share and celebrate life with. For the past three years I've been re-discovering and re-learning my entire approach to creating music. In this process I found myself alienated from life and the very thing that breeds new creation... Living... So now I'm getting back to the art of being a social being. These albums are very close to my heart. Although some of the music was recorded years ago most of the vocals have been recorded this year. My new vocal approach and development has changed the songs into something fresh and very special to me. I'm thankful and very blessed to have had the space and time to create such an expansive project. Both of these albums are very close to my heart. I look forward to sharing them very soon. Thank you to everyone that has been so patient and remained engaged with me throughout the process. I knew in my gut that if I took my time I would find the core of what I was looking for... If you'd like more information about these records visit my website. www.ryandesiato.com Thank you for your time- Ryan
