Through the medium of thrash metal we make our stand. <br/> <br/>This group of insurgents is led by the Admiral Josh Cowan – lead song writer, singer and rhythm guitarist. To his right, Tim Stewart of Vernichten and Pitchfork infamy ripping out lines of lead and bringing up the vanguard: a player of keys and samples, reformed pub-rocker, Lisa Lane-Collins; the foundation of the band, rhythm section: Jack Jacob-Moses and Daniel Sloan (ex Inexistence). <br/> <br/>Taking cues from the likes of Death, Slayer, Metallica, opera, Western Art music, jazz, Lamb of God and Pantera, Convict have melted these influences together to create songs that traverse widely from simple thrash to Roger Waters-esque narrative. Extrospective lyrics contemplate our state in the system and the fate of the Convict Anatomy. <br/> <br/>Convict Anatomy débuted late 08 playing the October Metal Onslaught at Elizabeth's Northern Sound System receiving positive response from the audience and bands alike. Since then they have played various small stages including the Magill Club and the Squatters arms with other local metal acts and one epic gig down at Murray Bridge with Realms and Evolution and Distorted Aggression. They have recorded one EP styled demo and planning to record a proper EP for release early next year.
