The Distorted Waltz is not your average rock band. Drawing on numerous (and in many cases conflicting) musical influences, The Distorted Waltz represents a new fringe in the Indie rock community. Their music is a melting pot of genres, effortlessly blending elements of Blues, Alternative, Grunge, Ska, Punk, & Progressive rock in to a unique and idiosyncratic sound. Roaring guitars and piercing vocals mix seamlessly with soulful bass and frantic drumming. Forming in 2011, The Distorted Waltz, then consisting of Andy Jeglic, Matt Hofmann, and Cody Marecek, released their debut album and began playing around Michigan. After a few changes in personnel, The Distorted Waltz, now Andy Jeglic, Matt Hofmann, Matt Miller, and Sam Shaw, have begun relentlessly touring the Mid-west. 2014 has proven to be a big year for the band, getting airplay as far as London, releasing their second full length record, and opening for multiple national acts, including the Pat Travers Band and Bobaflex. The snowball effect continues, and The Distorted Waltz now has more momentum than ever before!
