Music is such a Beautiful and Unique expression of the Human Spirit. It really is the Ancient Language, for it existed long before words ever did. And it's Music that I feel I draw on to be Re-Enegized. If a new song makes Me feel better, than maybe it will also make you feel better. And so I became a songwriter, a few years after really getting to know my guitar.
I Grew up listening to AM Radio on every car ride with my Folks. My Mum is from Liverpool, England, so I grew up with the British Invasion. My father is an East Coaster, who grew up as a French-Canadian, and it was from him that I learned my rhythm, as he was always tapping on random objects making hip jazz and swing beats. I myself started tinkering with any musical object I could find, starting from the early age of 4.
In Highschool, after going through a Very Brief period of listening to Hip Hop and Old Metal, I began to revert back to the Good Vibrations Rock & Roll Music of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. It was then I really started to understand the Art of Songwriting.
Progressive Rock was a big turning point on my playing, and although I still Love a simple Ballad, I found my own groove of mixing the Ballad with a Progressive Rock Twist.
By late high-school, my search for new Progressive Rock Music got a bit boring, but luckily I had really dicovered that Many of the Things I had been playing over the years was Raw Blues and Boogie Woogie. So I became a Blues Man.
After playing at many Bar Jams, Blues started to become repetitive, and so I brought it back to the Good Vibrations Music that has a Timeless place in my Heart.
The past few years after the break-up of my old band 'The Dawns', I've been travelling across Canada, busking, jamming, writing, and perfecting my sound, while at the same time trying to find Dedicated Musicians to play the Unique Blend of Rock & Roll that has come to be my trademark sound.
I currently lack the funding to record any of the the 15-25 songs that I have perfected and polished. And so I'm now out in Alberta looking for work to save up some money, and Record the Album that's in my Heart and Soul.
