I’m Rob, I play guitar and piano, sing and write songs. I play atmospheric acoustic based Americana. If you like City and Color, Jack’s Mannequin or The Gaslight Anthem, I hope you’ll like me too. “Stillframes” is my debut EP, a collection of stripped down acoustic guitar and piano songs, inspired by life in the city and on the road. I will be playing shows in BC through Fall and Winter 09, and then plan to record a full-length sometime in the spring. "Stillframes” will be available on October 1st through iTunes, robcater.com, and other digital retailers.

I’m Rob, I’m a Vancouver based musician. I play guitar and piano, sing and write songs. I play atmospheric acoustic based Americana. Sometimes my songs are pretty mellow, sometimes a bit heavier. If you like City and Color, Jack’s Mannequin or The Gaslight Anthem, I hope you’ll like me too.
I was born in England, and have spent the last 3 years writing and playing shows in London, before moving to Canada in early 2009.
“Stillframes” is my debut EP and will be self-released on my new aekosa label. It’s a collection of stripped down acoustic guitar and piano songs, inspired by life in the city and on the road. It was written mostly while drinking rum in the Caribbean earlier this year, then recorded in 3 days at my home studio in Vancouver in June.
I will be playing shows in BC through Fall and Winter 09, and then plan to record a full-length sometime in the spring. I’ve got a couple of new songs written and am feeling very inspired right now.
“Stillframes” will be available on October 8th through iTunes and other digital retailers, and through robcater.com in download and CD format.
