From the ashes of 80′s/90′s London bands Guilty Heads and Faster Than Sheep, singer Laban moved to France to retire. His sons Oli and Elliot soon showed signs of inheriting the musical bug and took up their apprenticeship; they began playing regularly as a family threesome. Growing interest in France for the live music scene provided the perfect opportunity for The Simpson Band to try out their ‘family brand of music’. The band consists of Oli, 17, on guitars and much dabbling on the mixing desk, Elliot, 13, drumming when not skateboarding, Laban on vocals and guitar and the recently recruited Nico Morin (no genetic link with The Simpsons found as yet!) on bass. Their latest album ‘Hotworks’ is available to buy now. Supporting The Simpson Band is rising young Jamaican reggae singer Troydon Bent making his UK debut and talented local singer/songwriter Richard Lee from Maidenhead. He's a stalwart of the LORMC by not only providing support when called upon to do so but invariably provides the PA and mixes the sound for our visiting performers.
