Bio
Critical Sun Recording artist and Louisiana native Reji Lefluer is an international singer/songwriter/guitarist/entertainer and has been at it since the age 4. Lefluer has been a registered writer for 3MP (Magic Melodi Music Production) under ASCAP Publishing Since 2004. His music is a blend of fusion, blues, rock, soul and jazz.
About
Reji Lefluer started playing the piano at the age of 4 and began performing for a live audience shortly after with Michael Jackson, Prince and Rick James impersonations. During high school he began playing the guitar and formed his first band with Jamal Robinson and Okanomode. Those days Reji Lefluer went by Makia. Under that name Reji Lefluer began collaborating with local Hip-Hop artist such as Silver Shadow D, Source of labor and more. During Bumbershoot 93, Reji and band backed Silver Shadow D to open for Naughty By Nature at the Key Arena in downtown Seattle. After highschool Reji Lefluer interned his production skills with Producer Maurice Jones Jr. of Wideawake Entertainment Group.
Late 90's, Reji Lefluer traveled to the middle east to broaden his horizons and picked up traditional middle eastern sounds. He later traveled to Asia where he appeared on local National TV station MetroTV and TVRI. Reji also did radio commercials for Ace hardware Indonesia. Reji Lefluer has worked with Asian artist such Rafika Duri (jazz singer), Dwiki Dharmawan (pianist), Cici Tegal (comedian), Judika (Sony BMG recording artist/Indonesian Idol), Dwi L (former lead singer for Teaser), Pai (former guitarist for Slank) and Geronimo (Indonesian Hip-Hop group).
Reji Lefluer arrived back in the US in late June of 2009 to remix and release self debut album entitle "Crystal Ball" under new label Critical Sun Recordings and is now co-produced by Bubba Jones (producer of Digable Planets and Furniture Girls).
Reji is also the lead/rhythm guitarist in a local band called Klyntel and is currently co-writer with Ashante Mangum aka "Cole`".
Instruments played:
Reji Lefluer mainly plays a modified Washburn J7 hollow body electric guitar but has been known to play piano, organ, bass guitar, drums and percussion.
