About
Reid Jamieson is a classic Canadian heartbreaker with an incredible voice and a magical way with melodies. 2008 finds him hard at work writing a soulful follow up to his latest, plus releasing a rather unintentional fifties era tribute to the late Elvis entitled The Presley Sessions.
Reid's most recent disc of original music; The Unavoidable Truth, was produced by Josh Finlayson (Gord Downie, Skydiggers) and features guest appearances from Sarah Harmer & Bob Egan (Blue Rodeo, Wilco) while showcasing his choirboy ways, therapeutic lyrics and altcountry-flavoured pop hooks.
Reid recently moved from Toronto to beautiful BC (Vancouver via Victoria) where he is exploring the fine art of songwriting, playing around town, and appearing with some regularity on CBC’s Vinyl Cafe and other fine shows.
Please stay tuned for more from this tender troubadour. File alongside fellow rootsy singer songwriters: Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, Ron Sexsmith, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Roy Orbison and Neil Finn.
