Hello, my name is Redner Erald Salonga! I am a Filipino-American independent musician and singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I have always had a passion for performing, writing and singing. At a very young age, I loved performing and singing. I performed at talent shows and  local church events. I would always put on shows for family and friends. As I grew older, I continued to pursue my dreams. I participated in musicals and am a part of my church's music ministry. I was a part of American Idol Season 8 in Jacksonville and advanced all the way to the Executive Producers Round, then was cut. However in retrospective, I'm totally positive about the Idol experience. "Idol was such a great experience! I met so many talented people! Even though I got cut in Round 3, it inspired me to work harder as an artist and musician. I believe it wasn't God's perfect timing yet, but there's always next time." I continue to pursue my musical dreams and aspirations. I would love your support of my music! My motto is "Never limit yourself. Even if you think you can't do it, we have a God who can do the impossible."

Redner is the lead vocalist for the band, "Gemariah" in the Philippines. His band released their first album in the Summer of 2008 entitled "My Way Back Home." Their first album only gave a glimpse into Redner's vocal and writing ability. Redner says, "In all honesty, I didn't feel my first album gave me justice as a musican and artist. I felt the entire process was rushed and I wasn't completely happy with the results. I was under alot of pressure and the album was recorded in 4 hours. I don't think that is a significant amount of time to record an album. However, I am not going to make excuses! I know I will do better on my next record and it was just fun to be in a recording studio!"

Redner's musical influences are diverse and range from The Beatles, Chris Tomlin to Kelly Clarkson and Hillsong. Redner has always loved all types of music and it is evident through his music. "I've grown up tolistening all types of music, so I just love music and channel all styles into my own music." Redner likes to describe his music as "fresh, original and frightfully real." "I like to write music that can really speak to people. I love songs that are honest and that get stuck in your head!"

His upcoming release, "Gemariah" will be a total step forward vocally, lyrically and musically from his previous album. His upcoming release is more "personal and risky." It will delve deeper into different musical styles and discuss issues from his love life, friendships and relationship with God. The album is slated to be released in March 2009.
