"Crunching guitars and a few nice ‘Manic St’ style licks form the central part of The Red Chevrons, which is refreshing in this dirge of 80’s throwback synth-pop production line garbage we are being sold at the moment. The band hail from Pickering, North Yorkshire and I can’t off the top of... my head list many acts who have broken the UK touring scene starting off from Pickering. However I think these guys have made all the right moves to change this. Supports with Ash, Twisted Wheel, Steve Craddock and Little Comets show that the band are deservedly being taken seriously. “Don’t Falter” is a fantastic tune which showcases Nick Stephenson’s vocals excellently. You can tell he believes every word he is singing and although occasionally you can hear the voice break at the top end it does nothing to stop the anthemic quality of this song shine through. Certainly worth 10 minutes of your lunch break to have little listen to The Red Chevrons.
