Randy Burns began singing at The Exit Coffeehouse in New Haven -- 1965. Folk Music was king then, and large Folk Festivals were held on the Green every summer. One year later, he did what he always wanted to do—he hit the road for New York’s Greenwich Village. After a month of playing the open mics and baskethouses, living in flophouses…then sleeping on the subways and park benches in Washington Square Park, Clarence Hood hired Randy to be the permanent opening act at the legendary Gasligh...
