Bio
Rachele Eve set out for Chicago in 2006 where she met Nikolai Giefer, a drummer who relocated to Chicago after Hurricane Katrina. In July 2008 John Snyder, a legendary jazz producer (Miles Davis, Etta James), invited them down to Dockside Studio in Maurice, Louisiana to record. With them came multi-instrumentalist Packy Lundholm. Entitled Mouth Of Feathers, the unabridged instrumentation has a modern yet vintage feel, colored with distorted guitars, toy piano, accordion, clarinet, cello, Wurlitzer, and Hammond B-3, all behind her seamless whisper-to-wail vocals. The album is brave, bringing about the entire spectrum of human emotion. RE performs in Chicago as full band with new members Kate Drown – clarinet and Nick Miller – bass.
