Rachele Eve set out for Chicago in 2006 where she met Nikolai Giefer, a drummer who relocated to Chicago after Hurricane Katrina. In July 2008 John Snyder, a legendary jazz producer (Miles Davis, Etta James), invited them down to Dockside Studio in Maurice, Louisiana to record.
