“Rising local rapper Queen Rho, featured on a new Nite Owl-compiled collection of St. Louis female rappers called “Collabo Queens,” knows she has been passed over for opportunities because she’s a woman. But there are “infinite pieces to the pie,” she says. “I do find it challenging as a female for obvious reasons, from there being a lot of connections that can be made that don’t get made to people not taking female emcees seriously,” Queen Rho says. “A number of things come up.
