Quattrio perform chamber music of the Baroque period by composers such as Handel, Corelli and Vivaldi. The group’s focus is the trio sonata, played on two violins (or violin and recorder) with harpsichord accompaniment.

Although trio sonatas went out of fashion a couple of hundred years ago these charming and accessible pieces are still able to delight the listener, and are appreciated at their best in intimate surroundings.  We aim to present these beautiful pieces in a direct and accessible way without affectation or artifice and to communicate our enjoyment of the music to the listener.
