We recorded the songs live in Bucharest and a lot of work was involved. We bring this album to you from our love, so relax and enjoy the smoothing sounds after a hard day.

How was the first online album in Romania born? Here is the story of the album "STEP BY STEP" and of the band QUANTUM LEAPS...

Sometime In April 2006, Mircea and Laurentiu started to write some musical ideas.And thus, together they composed the first songs, witch were "STEP BY STEP" and "FANTASY LOVE". As the song "STEP BY STEP" says, this was their first step.

This is how the foundation of the band QUANTUM LEAPS was decided. The founding members were Gabi (drums), Mircea (piano), Laurentiu (trumpet), Marius (bass guitar) and afterwards Alex (guitar).

In a game, Camelia, the band's manager, asked Mircea to write a song which would reflect her character. This is how "CAMELIA" was born.

Laurentiu and Mircea composed a more ample orchestration of the songs, so the band enlarged. Radu (trombone), Eugen (sax) and the backing vocals Carina, Florina and Cosmina joined us. All was good, but the main pawn of every band was missing: the vocalist. Alex brought Brad to the studio. We listened, he saw, we liked, he stayed!!!!

The first songs needed text. So Brad started working. Some time ago, in his teenage, he used to write poems. So he did it again. Besides, he wrote the texts of all the songs on the album.

One night, leaving the studio, Mircea, Laurentiu and Brad saw an outdoor party. This is how the song "TO THE STREET" was born. In that period, Sheyla Bonnick was in Romania participating with Brad to an event organized by UNESCO. Together with Spany, they werw happy to record with QUANTUM LEAPS the song "TO THE STREET".

Enjoying the way the boys of QUANTUM LEAPS compose and orchestrate, Sheyla proposes the re-orchestration of the song "BELIEVING", composed by Hans Andersen, a friend of hers from Denmark. With his permission, "BELIEVING" is now joining the other songs that will constitute the band's first album.

Inspired by the activity in the studio, Brad composes "TIMES ARE CHANGING" and "TWO IN LOVE". Because "TWO IN LOVE" is a dialog between lovers, at Brad's suggestion, Camelia proposes Nicoleta Matei - NICO - a featuring with QUANTUM LEAPS. The other songs on the album "NORI PE CER", "CITY LIGHTS,CITY LIFE", "YOU IN MY LIFE", "BELIZE", and "MOVING ON DOWN THE LINE" complete this album which we offer to you, our listeners, with all our love.

Bine ati venit pe QUANTUM LEAPS, o noua trupa si un nou concept. Suntem primul album lansat online din Romania astfel incat tu si prietenii tai puteti asculta intreg albumul pe gratis. In dreapta este un player, deci ajustati setarile si simtiti-va bine!!!

Am inregistrat cantecele live in Bucuresti si s-a depus multa munca. Va aducem acest album din dragostea noastra, asa ca relaxati-va si bucurati-va de sunetele linistitoare dupa o zi grea de munca.

Cum s-a nascut primul album lansat online din Romania? Iata povestea albumului "STEP BY STEP" si a trupei QUANTUM LEAPS...

Candva in aprilie 2006, Mircea si Laurentiu au inceput sa asterne pe hartie cateva idei muzicale. Si asa, impreuna, au compus primele piese si anume "STEP BY STEP" si "FANTASY LOVE". Vorba cantecului "STEP BY STEP", acesta a fost primul pas.

Asa s-a hotarat infiintarea trupei QUANTUM LEAPS. Membrii fondatori au fost Gabi (tobe), Mircea (pian), Laurentiu (trompeta), Marius (bass) si ulterior Alex (chitara).

Intr-o joaca, Camelia, managerul trupei, l-a rugat pe Mircea sa-i compuna o piesa in care sa reflecte caracterul ei. Asa s-a nascut "CAMELIA".

Laurentiu si Micea au gandit o orchestratie mai ampla a pieselor, asa incat trupa s-a marit. S-au alaturat Radu (trombon), Eugen (sax) si backing vocals Carina, Florina si Cosmina. Toate bune si frumoase numai ca, lipsea un pion principal al oricarei trupe: solistul vocal. Alexa l-a adus la studio pe Brad. Ascultat, vazut, placut, ramas!!!

Primele piese aveau nevoie de text. Si Brad s-a pus pe treaba. Candva, in adolescenta lui scria poezii. A facut-o si acum. De altfel, el a scris textele pieselor intregului album.

Intr-o seara, plecand de la studio Mircea, Laurentiu si Brad au vazut o petrecere in aer liber. Asa s-a nascut piese "TO THE STREET". In perioada aceea Sheyla Bonnick se afla in Romania participand cu Brad la un eveniment organizat de UNESCO. Impreuna cu Spany au fost bucurosi sa inregistreze alaturi de QUANTUM LEAPS piesa "TO THE STREET".

Placandu-i felul in care compun si orchestreaza baietii din QUANTUM LEAPS, Sheyla propune reorchestrarea piesei "BELIEVING" compusa de Hans Andersen, un prieten al ei din Danemarca. Cu acordul acestuia "BELIVING" se alatura celorlalte piese care vor alcatui primul album al trupei.

Inspirat de activitatea din studio Brad compune "TIMES ARE CHANGING" si "TWO IN LOVE". Pentru ca "TWO IN LOVE" este un dialog intre indragostiti, la sugestia lui Brad, Camelia ii propune Nicoletei Matei - NICO - un feat. cu QUANTUM LEAPS. Celelalte piese din album "NORI PE CER", "CITY LIGHTS, CITY LIFE", "YOU IN MY LIFE", "BELIZE"  si "MOVING ON DOWN THE LINE" completeaza acest album pe care cu toata dragostea, vi-l daruim voua, ascultatorilor nostri.
