| Press Two For Panic is truly difficult to catergorize. Compositionally, their writing weaves driving riffs into orchestrated passages. They apply complexity and odd time signatures into their music but hold to a dynamic, lyrical sensibility. The lyrics are heartfelt, telling and contemplative. As for instrumentation, this four-piece group features intensive keyboard work, melodic yet grooving bass lines, fevered but focused guitar riffs, with a drummer that executes complex rythyms while soulfully singing lead vocals. Press Two For Panic reminds the listener of the glory days of 70's progressive music but with an edgier, more current sound. This band stands to reignite and reform a style not heard much since the glory days of Yes, E.L.P, and Genesis yet progressively looks forward to produce a sound that is relevant to the present. |
