  Live at the Linen presents the 013’ Broken Resolutions Ball at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise’s Linen District. $10 advance, $15 at the door; advance tickets available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/304021. All ages, full bar (I.D. required), Pie Hole pizza. Plenty of free, off-street parking is available at the Linen Building. New Year’s resolutions are easy to make, but exciting to break! Come join Interstate and friends for the third annual Broken Resolutions Ball (http://www.brokenresolutionsball.com) at the Linen Building. The 013’ Broken Resolutions Ball features an eclectic, genre-hopping assortment of musical talent, including: Interstate (http://www.interstateband.net): Interstate is a pure product of the Northwest’s music community. The band merges many different styles of music in an effort to write and play the songs they have always wanted to hear. Combining a love for classic ideas and experimentation with new sounds, Interstate maintains a philosophy of staying musically fresh. Expect to hear the unexpectedly familiar. Mike Quinn (http://www.reverbnation.com/mikequinnmusic): Boise native Mike Quinn has been writing and playing music for over 10 years now and continues to push the boundaries of the acoustic guitar. His view of guitars being more than just strings really shows through during live performances, where audiences enjoy the seamless integration of percussion, harmonics and complex melodies. Be sure to listen in for a creative take on the ever-changing genre that is acoustic singer/songwriter. After many ups and downs, Poppa Joe harnessed his passion to help the misguided youth by building a recording studio and founding a locally owned record label, Hustle Hard Full Time Records. Poppa Joe began to focus his energy into his own music Poppa Joe's first project, "I Am Legendary", was released in 2009. Poppa Joe has since started a new project working side by side with label member Rocky G. Poppa Joe's music is catchy, yet compelling, with a distinct message for personal growth and emotional maturity.
