Bio
The members of plastiq (pronounced Plas-stick) passion saw an opportunity to take an older genre near and dear to their hearts (new wave) and add to it a modern edge (a la Sleater-Kinney). Add a little blood, sweat and tears and from the fires Plastiq Passion was born, a band with a clear vision to make the music that they would want to hear: polished and heart-felt songs blending the sounds of yesterday with the sounds of today. And what better way to do so than to name their band after a Cure song keeping all but one letter the same.
About
Since their, I Cant Wait EP, they have played every respectable establishment (and also dive) that New York City has to offer including (but not limited to) CBGB's, The Mercury Lounge and Pianos. They have also played some excellent New Jersey establishments like Maxwell's and The Whiskey Bar. During the summer of 2008 they heroically embarked on a nation-wide tour and received excellent responses from audiences all over the country. Nowadays they are busy recording their first full length CD.
