Pilgrimz lives in Copenhagen, Denmark but was first established in 1998 on the isle of Falster. Today, Pilgrimz is considered one of the best metal live-acts coming from Denmark. Inspired by Scandinavian metal, dirty rock ‘n’ roll and modern hardcore, Pilgrimz is here to bring new light and perspective into the international metal-scene. The many different vocal-facets from the characteristic lead-singer Max, helps the band to create the raw and unique expression. Roskilde Festival wrote in early 2008: “Pilgrimz are dirty like a mechanic's sweat cloth. Some critics have compared their rocking and rolling metal to a toughened up version of THE HIVES. But when listening to lead singer Max Vegas, you are also easily reminded of a Danish cousin to Pantera's Phil Anselmo. That pretty much hits the nail on the head....

The first self-released EP "GOOD DAY MISTER PRESIDENT” (2000) and "THE CARAVAN WAS ONLY BAIT" (2003) made Pilgrimz known throughout the country of Denmark. With help from national radio host and metal expert Michael Holm Andersen the band received great reviews both on recorded material and live performances. The whole thing triggered a strong and long lasting relationship with the producer Jacob Hansen, and therefore the pick of producer for the full length “BOAR RIDERS” (2008, I Scream Records) came naturally.

After getting a lot of recognition during the demo years, the band decided to hit the road. They played with Mercenary, Mnemic, Barcode, Raunchy, and even played support for bigger international bands like Entombed and Enslaved . The live reviews spoke for themselves. A reporter from Metalized even went so far as calling Pilgrimz "The metal Hives"! Another wrote; "If James Brown had a metal band, Pilgrimz surely would be it!" Then later they got nominated for “Best Live Act” at Danish Metal Awards 2006, competing with bands like Mnemic, Barcode, Mercenary, Hatesphere.

In early 2007, the band signed a management deal with Dream Fire Agency and a serious preparation went down. The band entered the studio once more and recorded their first full length album entitled “BOAR RIDERS”, consisting of 10 tracks produced Jacob Hansen (Mnemic, Hatesphere, Volbeat) Mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen, Antfarm (The Haunted, Sick Of It All) Artwork by R. In April 2008 Pilgrimz inked a world wide record deal with I Scream Records (Madball, Agnostic Front, Blood For Blood). The debut album "BOAR RIDERS" will be out 23rd June 2008 in Europe. Furthermore, the band is confirmed to play Roskilde Festival '08, SPOT '08 and MTV Headbangers Ball Tour in September + the launch event in August along with Obituary, Agnostic Front and As We Fight.
The band has also recently signed international booking deals with 3rd Tsunami Agency, Go Down Believing and Loud Noise Agency. European dates will be announced later but patience darling, patience ;).
