Bass Player extraordinaire Bentley Harder joins the multi talented Megan Corse on vocals and percussion, to perform the music of Phil Circle (on guitar and vocals) and b-sides from artists spanning decades. This is an acoustic show, generally appropriate to all ages, but definitely aimed at crowds with a discerning taste. We present The Bent Corsicles for their debut show.
Phil Circle will read a couple blood curdling excerpts from his book "The Outback Musicians' Survival Guide" and play tunes for a couple hours in this famous haunted tavern. Books and CDs will be available, music goes until 8pm. Great way to start the Friday before Halloween.
Phil Circle will appear in the middle of the night, the end of a day for bar goers, the middle for nighhawks. This will be an appearance on the legendary WGN Radio, 720 AM in Chicago, the Super Station. You'll hear the interview and performance throughout the Midwest and worldwide on the web.
The cover charge is just that... something to cover the sound and other expenses of running this Acoustic Monday Music Showcase into its 10th year. Phil Circle has put these together with various Chicago and visiting artists at a number of venues. LiveWire's owner was instrumental in providing them over the years and now has this great new seven-day-a-week music venue with everything a musician and his/her audience needs. Donate at the door or hit the tip jar by the stage to support a particular act. Everyone will have merchandise to sell, including Phil will have his book and several CDs handy as usual. Each act will play 15 minute sets in rotation until the doors close at 2am.
