"I'm getting sicker spitting lyrics for free..Next time a hunned G's if I come in an breathe...
Spoken like a true artist trying to get a deal, Phever was born and raised in the Flatbush/Canarsie section of Brooklyn. "My birth itself was a struggle, born the youngest of 5 to a 46 year old single mother. I found hip-hop in junior high after being left out of conversations cause I didn't know what was going on. I had an idea, but wasn't quoting or in depth about the history of the music. As soon as I got into in, I got INTO it. I used to spend nights locked up in my room battling my cousin in front of a cassette player, after, we would listen and compare ourselves. My first on stage performance, was in church and let's just say it wasn't a great moment in hip-hop history. After that disaster I used it as a learning tool on what not to do and started honing my skills at different events. I took a little layoff from the music to find myself outside of church. Ever since then music has been my expression, my voice, and my escape. Whether it was a freestyle battle on the corner or spitting a couple of quotables, music period has always been my outlet. I kept my options open and put my hands on acting and writing as well. God has blessed me, and right now I just want to take the opportunity and use all of my resources. Trust me, Brooklyn is still in this game. I'm going to help bring it back."
About
I represent the block known as Lenox Road in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. Hip-Hop didn't introduce itself to me I had to introduce myself to Hip-Hop. Sort of like that cute girl you're afraid to talk to, you just gotta get the words right. I am a Team 440 Black Ice/Front Office representer. 440 Lenox is where it all came together, the first time I met K-Breezy, Blaze, DJ Blackstar, Touchdown, and Arsenix. This is what I love, and right now all I know.
