Since Paul Sanchez stepped out on his own after 16 years with Cowboy Mouth, he has been traveling all over the United States, performing as a solo artist, often with some of his friends sitting in. As the title of his seventh solo album released in 2006 says, Paul likes to keep his music "Between Friends." His latest way to do it is with his Rolling Road Show, and just like on the album, everyone gets their turn in the spotlight.
Guest artists will vary from each performance, based on your budget and artist availability. Two of the regulars include Sonia Tetlow, and Mary LaSang both former members of Cowboy Mouth with Paul. David Torkanowsky, part of the Crescent City's new guard of pianists usually holds down the keyboard position, and drummers include Eric Bolivar (Bonerama) and Raymond Weber (Dumpstaphunk, New Orleans Social Club). Ivan Neville, Keith Richards' favorite B3 organist, is available as a special guest artist. If you're from New Orleans you have friends who play a horn. Shamarr Allen on trumpet, Craig Klein, James Andrews and Big Sam on trombone have also been known to blow audiences away at a Rolling Road Show.
The Rolling Road Show is a rich gumbo of some the best that The Crescent City has to offer. In a good gumbo, the ingredients may change, but the result is still unmistakably New Orleans, and you'll always want a second helping. Contact us soon to see what ingredients we can put together for your show, before they end up in someone else's gumbo!
