Q: I love your voice, your sound Paul. Who are your influences? Your voice reminds me of the great David Gates of Bread. Is he one of your influences?
A: Hi Jacinta, Thank you so much for the compliment. To be honest I have just always sung like this though I did improve my singing back in the 90s when I was in a country band called 'The Texas Kelly's'. I think singing country helped shape my voice and taught me expression. A few people have said that I remind them of David Gates lately but bar the odd time I heard Bread on radio years ago I wouldn't call myself a fan. I never bought any of their albums…but I think I probably should now though!! Best wishes Paul
