Paul Barsom is a composer and performer of both progressive indie pop-rock and classical concert music. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, he lives in State College, Pennsylvania where he teaches music composition at Penn State University and creates and performs his music. Paul started playing in bands when he was 12. He earned degrees in classical music composition from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Arizona and has been teaching at Penn State University since 1994. He took a sabbatical leave in 2006 to compose the songs that now form the core of his songwriter's catalog.
