Blending elements of Acoustic, Neo-Soul, Folk and sometimes bar room blues. Patrik Ryen has the lyrical sting of broken hearts everywhere combined with the soul of a love lost poet .

This Lyrical slinging aficionado has the street smarts of an urban swinger and the heart-bending soul of a gospel preacher and is adept at blending dark, bluesy Americana vibe with warm acoustic tones. where bits of old folk music and flamenco tunes swirl in and out of earshot .

American Patrik Ryen was born in Detroit, Mi and grew up Everywhere In between. As a teen he spun his fathers old Motown records , along with his own collection of rock , folk and hip-hop. as he fleshed out his music skills learning lifes lessons from the ups and downs of old freindships, lost jobs and lost loves in a often ruff and tuff Detroit music secne.

 During his short career, Patrik Ryen has already snagged stage time with up and coming musical greats like John Callerone, Daisy House and Two steps to Honesty.

 Patrik Ryen the former  lyricist for for Reheaded Girl is now back with his debut solo offering "Brand New Dead Things".

 In following he has produced this musical material that is unlike any other singer songwriters and consequently is beyond genre definition. Largely it is one man and his faithful heart and lyrical life story,and because of that, there really is no need for any other instrumentation.

 New self promoted Album  "Brand New Dead Things" is yet another step in the evolution of his musical career. he has put more heart and soul into writing, recording and producing these songs than on any other project hes  been a part of before. As a result you cant help but feel that this is one of the truest recording's hes ever done. The songs were all arranged  in a small but comfortable studio. They are his songs, his Heart, and his Tearful soul, compiled for all to interept . The following insturments and mixing were provided by freinds and fellow musicians from the Detroit area. This album is not a milestone, it's simply a mile marker on the way to his musical future that lies somewhere on the not so distant horizon....
