My name is Patrick Cormier, and I was born in the small town of Cheticamp, I started playing the guitar at age 11, and never stopped. Left home at 15 years old in 1947, went to Toronto, worked for a few years, then got in with some musicians, and jammed for awhile. we then formed a small country band, named "Pat & the Boys" and I kept that nane . We played for dances, jamborees, and weddings, ect. In 1962, I came back to Cheticamp, {Can't keep a country boy from the country} bought a movie theatre and restaurant combination, and did very good with it, had it for 14 years, then sold it, went into construction building houses ect. did good with that too. I had stopped playing for about 15 years, then started again, formed another small country band, and played all over the place, Dance halls, weddings, TV, Radio, ect. and we did good, made 3 CD's and they did very good too, the one "The best of me" are all my own songs that I composed and wrote. Now I'm going on 78 years old, and still going, have an hour TV show once a month, love country music, and I guess I'll never stop.
