    Welcome to the 29th Annual Bakersfield Jazz Festival. It's a pleasure to introduce you to this exciting event. With the support of students, faculty, administration and ardent jazz fans in the community, the jazz program at CSUB has grown and flourished. Fridays lineup includes Braxton Brothers Band at 7pm, Boogaloo Assassins at 8:10pm and Big Sam's Funky Nation at 9:35pm. On the Festival Entry Stage in between performances will be Blue Deacons at 6pm, 7:50pm and 9:05pm. Saturday's lineup includes Kern County Honor Jazz Band at 4pm, Jay Smith Group at 5:05pm, Ballet at 6:00pm, Jonathan Kreisberg Quartet at 6:20pm, Louis Hayes and the Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band at 7:45pm, Fireworks Show at 9:10pm and Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra at 9:15pm. On the Festival Entry Stage in between performances will be The CSUB Players at 3:15pm & 4:45pm and Uncle Funkle at 6pm, 7:20pm & 8:45pm. On Friday gates open at 6pm, Saturday at 3pm. Refreshments, food, and alcohol will be available for purchase. Ice chests are permissible but will be searched at gate. No outside alcohol or glass containers permitted. Kids 12 & under free in General Admission area only. Current CSUB Students will be allowed free entry to the Festival with valid School ID.
