Grammy nominee Paoli Mejias fuses straight-ahead jazz with African, Mediterranean & Caribbean rhythms to create a new dimension of Latin jazz that’s energetic, intriguing & moving. Paoli is at the vanguard of Latin jazz with 3 CDs as leader of his Quintet: Grammy nominated “Mi Tambor” 2004, “Transcend” 2006 featuring the best of the NY Latin jazz scene: Miguel Zenon, Luis Perdomo, Jaleel Shaw, Hans Glawischnig & Antonio Sanchez, who all recorded on his 3rd CD “JAZZAMBIA” released Nov 2008.
