PAINE BIO Dj, music producer and sound designer, Paine’ Cuadrelli (Milano, 1976) works since the early ‘90s bringing his sound in clubs and festivals all overy Italy and abroad. His wide range of inspirations (jazz, tango, funk, hip, hop, afro beat, dub, folk music) are electronically re-interpretated in his records, soundtracks, installations and dj sets. AS DJ His eclectic style of djing brings him to play in clubs from Paris to Buenos Aires, Montreal, New York, London, Vienna and Budapest. He produces Radio Shows broadcasted in Australia, Germany, Usa, Uk, Swiss and online. AS PRODUCER produced two albums released by Temposphere Records (Simplemente Asì in1999, Spontaneous in 2003) , the album Hey Presto! in 2004 with his band I Maniaci Dei Dischi (together with Dj Fonx, Dj Herrera, Bombo and jazz musicians), and remixes for labels like Tru-Thoughts (Uk), Switchstance (Ger) and Subterfuge (Es). His productions include collaboration with Gak Sato, Steve Piccolo, Casino Royale, Michele Ranauro, Lele Sacchi and many more. (full discography here) AS SOUND DESIGNER Since 1999 he collaborates with the experimental audiovisual collectives Sun Wu-Kung, Grain and Box, producing multimedia live acts and short film soundtracks presented in festivals like Netmage (Bologna), Sonar (Barcelona), Centre Pompidou (Paris) plus museums and tvs across Europe. He composed and produced the soundtrack of the pièce “Guardati Dietro”, music and sound design for the short movies “FuoriFuoco” and "The Audioguide" (C.D. Seresini 2005 / 2006), “Pins & Needles”, “90”, of documentaries by Emergency "Eredi del silenzio - Emergency in Cambogia" e "L'arcobaleno e il deserto - Emergency in Iraq" (2004). He performed the live soundtracks of movies by Buñuel (Biennale Giovani Artisti Big Torino 2000), Murnau (Notte Bianca Milano 2005) and Mèlies (Firenze 2005). He produced installations and soundtracks for exhibitions and events design-related (Campana Design, Edra Milano Design Week 2006, Mini Design Awards 2007) and fashion-related (Piombo, Diesel, Fornarina, Verri, Zegna). At the moment Paine’ is producing his third album, soundtracks for short films and lecturing Sound Design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milano, Italy.
