“GFA met through mutual friends and, once they realized the amount of musicians in their social circle, formed a band. “We decided it would be fun to get together and jam and over a series of months, realized that we had something really special together. Before we knew it we were landing gigs at local clubs,” Schneider said.”
"The group looks forward to more opportunities to collaborate in creating and playing music going forward, and reaching more audiences with their music. 'I think it's great that people are enjoying the music and, as far as I'm concerned, I'd love to go anywhere the band leads us' said Schriever."
“Greetings from Anywhere's use of folky-sounding strings layered with the familiar melodies of classic rock acoustics may remind listeners of camping out under the stars at outdoor music festivals--but tonight you won't have to venture any further than Waterfront Park.”
"This is a really big show for us," remarked Doug Schneider, who plays drums for GFA and co-founded the group in 2007. "We're honored to take the stage at Garcia's not only because it's a really amazing club booking national touring acts, but also to perform in the same building where so many of our favorite artists have graced the Capitol stage over past decades".
“Greetings from Anywhere and South County play a rousing Waterfront concert that has children frolicking on the lawn. More than 100 people gathered in Waterfront Park late Saturday afternoon to hear hometown bands Greetings from Anywhere and South County.. "(We) wanted to continue our streak of playing a hometown show on the beautiful waterfront and conceived the idea of a party for our friends, family and fans," said drummer Doug Schneider. He said he hopes it's the first of many summer hoedowns.”
