“Taylor Tickner return to Country at The Merc. After performing more than a dozen times at Country at The Merc, the stage feels like home for 18-year-old singer-songwriter Taylor Tickner. “This is where I really discovered my love and passion for country music,”. “The Merc is a fun, cozy environment making the show enjoyable for both the crowd and performers,”. “It’s sort of like Temecula’s own little version of The Grand Ole Opry.” Tickner first found a love for singing at the age of 6, performing in community theater productions. She played with her first band at age 13 and hasn’t stopped since. She started out on the piano, but has since fallen in love with the guitar, ukulele and the banjo. “I hope that country music will take me wherever it is meant to,” Tickner said. “I love writing music along with performing and connecting with people. Whether I am singing in front of an crowd or writing a song in my bedroom, I am thankful for the gifts country music has ”
“You effortlessly draw attention with the words you sing. You don't have to yell or hit tons of High notes you just have it. That's a rare quality. You are a musician. You have some great original songs.”
“Temecula singer/guitarist Taylor Tickner made her stage debut while still in grade school, appearing in a local stage production of Annie. After studying at Temecula Music Academy, she entered the NACMAI (North American County Music Association International) competition, winning Vocalist of the Year. While still attending Great Oak High School, she began performing at local venues, including the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar. ”
“Great Oak High School senior Taylor Tickner is a creative soul. The young Temecula resident started performing at age 6, first taking the stage for the musical production Annie. Over the past decade, Taylor has continued acting, done some short film work in Los Angeles and has eventually evolved her talent into a long-term singer/songwriter role. “I went from theater to acting in films to music, but I think now I’ve found my true artistry,” she said. Last month, the 17-year-old performed at the San Diego County Fair and she makes regular appearances at Country at the Merc in Old Town Temecula. “The thing I love is watching people’s facial expressions and connecting with the audience,” Taylor said. She most enjoys the song writing aspect of the business. “When I see people connecting with my songs, it makes me feel like I have a deep connection with my fans,” Taylor said. For writing inspiration, Taylor looks to her friends. “I love hearing their stories … es”
“This weekend Megan and I went out to the San Diego County Fair in search for some fun and we ended up stumbling upon a couple artists that stood out from the rest, specifically Taylor Tickner, a country singer /song writer from Temecula. I was impressed with Taylor's angelic voice and it seemed that the other fair-goers within earshot of her performance thought so as well. I was a witness to a bit of a traffic jam of people stopping dead in its tracks to see where that voice was coming. This artist is definitely someone to keep your eyes and ears on! If you have a chance to get to the San Diego County Fair this year, you should make a point to go see her preform. You will find her preforming again on 6/18/13 on the O'Brien Stage from 4pm to 5pm or on 6/28/13 on the Ford Paddock Stage from 12pm to 1pm. ”

“THE QUAKES ARE MY FAVORITE MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL TEAM. AND, IT'S NOT JUST BECAUSE LONG BEACH'S ARMADA AND, FULLERTON'S O.C. FLYERS CRAHSED AND BURNED. I HOPE RANCHO CUCUAMONGA DOESN'T BLOW IT WITH THE QUAKES! OH...Say can you see.............. Was what I heard as I hurried to my seat. Happily, (and not all that often,) the lovely Miss. Taylor Tickner sang the words and lyrics-straight! It was a refreshing start to an enjoyable evening! Some works of art such as our National Anthem are better left alone. I'm reminded of a story. The great Oscar Wilde was staging one of his Plays...someone suggested a re-write of a particular line. Wilde replied,' Who am I to trifle with a masterpiece!' ”
