Hard Enough has got that wail, got that tight messiness, got those blue blue layers with the clear voices popping out to wrench your heart. Your vocal harmonies are teasingly sad; they have strength salted with tearful abandon. I didn't want it to end, but it ended perfectly.
This new piece is quite rich. Light and heavy both, like a tiramisu. The voices - sax, gtr, vox - all know what they are doing and WHEN to do it. Cool chords and changes, and yet under the strength of the simple vocal melody it is very cogent. Great gumbo of sweet angst.
You have succeeded in doing something we all wish we could do. That is - take an explosion from inside us and contain it in a short, disciplined piece of music. Wow.
