Hi there Just letting you know about a fantastic new Band Competition being held at The Oaks Hotel, Albion Park Rail during September. The PASSPORT TO AIRLIE BAND COMPETITION will host bands across 10 venues from Cairns to the Illawarra hoping to win the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Airlie Beach Music Festival this November. Some of Australia’s top artists including GANGgajang, TIM FINN, DARYL BRAITHWAITE and TROY CASSAR-DALEY are performing at this year’s Festival, held over four days. Local soloists, duos and bands are invited to enter the inaugural Illawarra competition heats, commencing on Friday 2 September from 7.30pm and running for 4 consecutive Friday nights, culminating with a Final on 30 September. Entrants will be competing to win a number of great prizes including the opportunity to perform at the Grand Final at the Airlie Beach festival, as well as a $1000 cash prize and accommodation, VIP food and beverage packages for 3 nights. A bonus prize for the Illawarra winner and runner up include a support slot with THE RADIATORS on Sat 10 December at The Oaks Hotel.
