My name is Paul Nicholson, just a lifelong folk music fan living in Virginia, travel to New England a couple of times a month and get my live music fix where I can. I’m a songwriter, more of a lyricist, and a big Patty Griffin fan.I wanted to “track you down” after watching your You Tube video of the “Long Ride Home” cover that you did. It was simply unbelievable. You truly (as one comment said) made it your own. I just loved it – it was a special moment for me listening to it, and I will no doubt listen to it again.

“It is rare when an artist is able to silence a noisy bar with an original song. It takes a voice and guitar skills that command attention and it takes a great song. A great song is something difficult to describe but people know one when they hear it and they shut up and listen! Audrey Drake is an artist who writes and performs great songs. Her music combines captivating melodies and beautiful chord phrasing with inspired lyrics that are engaging and interesting.” Don Watson, Singer,Songwriter

"I had the great pleasure of engineering and co-producing Audrey Drake's recent CD, Soul To Keep. When we started working on the project I was immediately struck by the quality and communication of her songwriting, and by her focus as an artist. Her songs draw on a wide spectrum of personal experiences, sometimes back to her childhood, and we can't help but be drawn into her stories, imagery, and metaphors. Her vocal style is truly unique - highly refined, with wonderful technique, and all the while deeply expressive. It was fun to watch the jaws drop as the first sounds from her voice filled the room during a recent Stone Garden performance. In the studio, Soul To Keep progressed slowly but steadily, all the while moving toward Audrey's clearly-envisioned goal. (After a mid-project hiatus, my wife Kathy commented that it was wonderful to have Audrey's voice in the house again.) Everyone involved is proud to have been a part of the project, and Soul To Keep will always remind me of why I love this job."
