On January 3rd, 1988, Dr. Demento played the song "The Food Dude" and it was never played on his show again. Playlists for the show credit the artist as "The Turtuga Brothers". The song has popped into my head countless times over the past 25 years and I've searched repeatedly for it. Now that I've finally tracked down the source, I'm curious about a few things. Were you performing in a group as The Turtuga Brothers back then or something? Also, where can I buy your CDs?

The songs posted are a compilation of songs from my solo CD, "True Stories", "Dog Tales" with Mark Twain's Dog, and some recent recordings.

This collection would not be possible without the generous contributions from some very talented players and friends throughout the years.

Perhaps the one person most responsible for what you are listening to is Brion Leftwich (search and listen to Brion here on reverbnation as "Seven Weathers"). Brion has been a co-writer, producer, stellar sideman, and dear friend for years. I am eternally grateful to him for all he brings to the table.

We are currently recording another collection of material in the Moose Lodge Studios. Stay tuned for much more.
