from one singer-songwriter to another, your music belongs in a movie somewhere. Right up on your sleeve, man. That's where the good stuff's at.

I got really pulled deep into your music my friend, especially because of that simple, conversational style of lyricism you possess..love how you kick off a song like "how long" with a line like "how you been?"..it's reminiscent of the writer David Gray to me. But what really hooked me in are you fascinating arrangements of traditional, acoustic as well as electric instruments..the use of all 3 on "die with me" is utterly mesmerising. You've clearly got a wide, eclectic taste in both roaring, rockin music as well as the peaceful dynamic of the bluegrass or folk ensemble. I just love what you're doing..it totally works!!

Thank you very much. I told my producers I wanted it to sound like Springsteen's "Nebraska", Pual SImon's first solo album, Johnny Cash, and anything Neil Young's ever done.

On "How Long" specifically, I wanted the feeling of driving in an old car, down a country road with 4 different stations coming in the radio at once, mixing styles abrasively. Takes me back to the inspiration of the song.

I really appreciate you listening,
