Morpheus Rising is a five piece hard ‘n’ heavy British rock band formed in 2008. The band is heavily influenced by their peers; Saxon, UFO, Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden. Morpheus Rising has forged a reputation for their stage shows and music by incorporating precision twin guitars, power chords and fast guitar solos, upbeat tempos, soaring melodic vocals, rounded out by a tight rhythm section. The band has incorporated many elements of the NWOBHM bands of the late 70’s and early 80’s which set the standards and made these bands famous.
After years of touring and a string of EP’s Morpheus Rising released their first full length album in late 2011. 2012 saw the band touring their critically acclaimed debut album “Let The Sleeper Awake” across the UK. The album has been regularly featured by Johnny Doom on Kerrang Radio, Shane Carlson on arFM, Tony Corner on Firebrand Radio and elsewhere throughout Europe and the US. The band has been featured in Classic Rock Prog Magazine, Classic Rock Society Magazine and one track was also featured on the cover mount CD by Classic Rock Society Magazine which led to a growing new fan base and sales across Europe, Asia and North America.
In 2013 the original drummer Paul “Gibbo” Gibbons departed the band. For their well received summer tour with Panic Room, Henry Rogers of Touchstone, DeeExpus, has been filling in on drums. Morpheus Rising has been auditioning drummers and hopes to have an announcement in the near future, in the meantime the band has started writing new material and recording is now underway on the as yet untitled new album. Their live shows are beginning to feature songs shortlisted for the upcoming release due out in late 2013 early 2014.

DDRIVE have been hard at work on their follow up to the critically acclaimed album 3D which was release in the summer of 2010. The band has never been one to rush a project as they believe quality of their recordings is more important than the quantity of releases. THE JOHN ORR FRANKLIN PROJECT - REACHING GROUND A MUSICAL JOURNEY IN FOUR PARTS.
In an effort to create some something new and exciting Melodic Revolution Records and the John Orr Franklin Project have come up with a new concept for the release of the "Reaching Ground" Release.
The 1st part of Reaching Ground” is released today October 9th and over the next 4 weeks we will be releasing another part of this epic master piece, culminating in the availability of the full digital album release on November 6th 2012. “Reaching Ground” will be accompanied by an e-book filled with artwork, lyrics and the albums credits.
The album tells the tale of one man's journey through a world on the brink of universal evolutionary change. After first contact with beings from another dimension, the planet descends into a world of distrust and discord. In this landscape of division between those that believe, and have made contact with this new race, to those that cannot or refuse to believe, one man comes forth to fulfill his destiny.
His hope to bring harmony back into a world struggling to rebuild a bridge into a truth that was abandoned many millennia ago, is encapsulated in “Reaching Ground” and is the beginning of his story.
Special guest musicians include drummers Gavin Harrison from multi-platinum British prog giants Porcupine Tree, and Victor Tassone of Unified Past. Listen Here http://jofproject.bandcamp.com/album/reaching-ground

September 2009 we launch Official Website October 2009 We launch Power of Prog a site dedicated to progressive music. 2010 We signed 6 artists and released 7 albums 2011 We signed 14 artists and released 19 albums and 1 live DVD. July 2011 Sees the launch of a new radio show "Inside the Music" with co-host singer, songwriter and producer John Orr Franklin which is broadcast every Wednesday from 12 pm to 2 pm EST via AiiRadio.net
So here we are seven years later, celebrating 5 years as a label. and Power of Prog turns 2. It has been a hell of a ride with many learning curves along the way but I am blessed by all the friends I have made along the way and the support that everyone has shown. I look forward to the future and the many new friends I have yet to make. It is with these friends old and new that we will make a difference in the modern era of music.
Newly signed, Melodic Revolution Records recording artist, John Orr Franklin release’s new digital single “Alpha and Omega” In a statement from John Orr Franklin In an effort to take the first single “Alpha and Omega” to the next level, I brought on Gavin Harrison, drummer from the band Porcupine Tree, as a special guest on the song. Gavin is the drummer I had in mind when I was writing the demos for this album, so naturally the end result is a perfect fit that stays true to my original vision and then some. Nearing completion of his third full length album, John has begun releasing a series of digital singles to determine the best possible format and packaging for the new release. Ultimately, feedback from the fans will determine the final format for the album. The band would very much like to see the project fully realized on a double vinyl LP with professional cover artwork and digital downloads. The band plans to use the proceeds from sales of the albums first digital singles and they are also planning a fan-based fundraiser on Kickstarter.com in order to see this dream into reality. The new album entitled “Soldier On” is a science fiction based story that follows one soldier through his personal trials as he discovers his true identity within the grandeur of a universe that has suddenly gotten much smaller. “Alpha and Omega” is now available at many popular Digital Distributors; iTunes, Amazon, emusic, Zune, Napster, Bandcamp, Melodic Revolution Records and others.
