Some evenings, Ronnie Milsap goes to the WSM-AM 650 radio studio and sits with legendary country music air personality Eddie Stubbs. The visits aren't about promotion, they're about inspiration, and Milsap listens intently as Stubbs plays classic country CDs, vinyl albums and even thick, supposedly archaic 78 RPM records.
Since his troubled childhood days in Appalachia, Milsap has been drawn to the simple and plaintive sounds of country. His voice is well capable of singing blues, R&B, pop and rock sounds, and his 40 chart-topping hits cover a wider stylistic terrain than any other superstar of country music. And Milsap has often described himself, happily, as a crossover artist. But in the new century, his visits with Stubbs at WSM and at the Grand Ole Opry tweaked an interest in once again singing more elemental country songs.
Want serious promotion for your band or new release but are unable to afford the usual $2000-5000 associated with hiring publicists or PR companies? Independent Music Promotions is offering a "Get a publicist for a day" service which includes 6 hours of personalized promotion for your release. Expect guaranteed reviews out of this.
We'll create a media link with your album (zip file), a bio, and press shots to submit to between 30-50 media outlets. We are currently accepting artists in the rock (all types), alternative, indie, metal, americana, blues, hip hop, electronic, pop, country and r&b genres. Results are a definite as we've secured many great contacts who are waiting to post material from our artists. Note: this is not a generic "Auto submit" type service. This campaign will be personally done by James Moore, head of Independent Music Promotions as a way to help more artists.

Submissions for this year's Christmas album "A Very Terry Christmas 2012" are now being accepted. The Christmas market is aching for new material so I am compiling an album to meet this need.
CONCEPT: "A Very Terry Christmas 2012" will be an album of original Christmas works. Some by myself and some from other artists interested in submitting tracks or ideas for the project. I personally have currently re-arranged several classic Christmas carols, taking the original public domain lyrical content and created new music to those lyrics. I will also be writing completely original songs and be involved in collaboration efforts.
PRODUCTION: The album will be replicated on CD and the individual tracks placed online through various channels for download. Should enough acceptable submissions be received, a double CD may be created. There is also the potential to create a music video for one or several of the tracks to help public awareness and boost sales.
SUBMISSIONS: Acceptance of submissions will be judged on their suitability, creativity and marketability. I suggest that prior to investing in a fully produced recording should you not be able to complete this at home or at minimal cost, that you submit a rough demo idea to see if further work would make it an acceptable submission. Depending on the success of the project, it may continue with yearly volumes, and submissions not included this year may be included in a following year.
