Get Radio Play and/or a Song Critique from Big Dose

http://www.musicxray.com/x/2010/2/9/get-radio-play-andor-a-song-critique-from-big-dose-program-d.html

I'm a 20 year veteran in radio. Currently, I am Program Director of WKUS-FM in Norfolk, VA and the host of The Good Day Show, middays M-F from 10A - 3P.

I'm also the host of my own syndicated soul music show called The soL kafe.

In 1989, I landed a gig at WRFG in Atlanta mixing hip-hop & R&B.

In 1991, I was a part of a team that hosted the 1st all hip-hop show in Atlanta at WRAS (Georgia State University).

Then in 1997 I made it to the big time at the #1 station in the South, V-103.

After spending a good part of my radio career working swing shifts, producing shows and DJing, I made the move toHampton Roads in March 2001 doing afternoons at the now defunct 92.1 The Beat.

In September of that same year, I moved next door to our sister station, 103Jamz, where I worked evenings and nights.

When 105.3 KISS-FM was born, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to give the grown folks a piece of "The Big Dose Experience" and its been on ever since!!!!!!!!!!

With hard work, I recently became the Program Director/Music Director of KISS.

Career Coaching: Artist, Music Executives, Song Reviews: David C. Linton

http://www.musicxray.com/x/2010/2/9/career-coaching-artist-music-executives-song-reviews-david-c.html

I'm a 25 year veteran with both radio and record industry experience. I served as a Senior Vice President at Capitol Records, Vice President at Arista Records under the legendary Clive Davis, also at Island Records.

I started out in radio as an annoucer in Raleigh, NC (DJ) rose up the ranks to station General Manager WSHA and later WRVS. I programmed radio successfully before becoming a regional promo rep for Warner Brothers Records.

I started in Dallas for Warners, later got promoted to the Los Angeles market where I eventualy was give an executive positon in the company as National Director for Reprise. Platinum and gold success there(New Jack City, Take 6,Prince) led to my position at VP at Island Records (NYC) where we had the first mulit-platinum album by a female rap group Salt-n-Pepa. This led me to a positon at Arista Records under Clive Davis where for 4 years straight we led the industry with the most chart success since Berry Gordy's Motown in the 1960's. Artists like Whitney Houston, Usher, Toni Braxton, Notorious BIG, TLC,OutKast and others benefitted from the promotional efforts of my team.

I was tapped to serve as SVP Urban Promotions at Capitol Records when the company decided to return to Urban music after a 7 year hiatus. We returned with a gold ablum by pre-teen star Sammie. As the industry began to shrink, I left Capitol and began consulting independent artists and labels.

David looks forward to getting your submissions for critique/review.
