Columbus OH Touring band, One Pretty Minute to play the Heart of Texas Rockfest Mar 16 in Austin TX.
The Heart of Texas Quadruple Bypass Music Festival aka Heart of Texas Rockfest features some of the best indie artists from across America and beyond.
Launched in March 2000, the first Heart of Texas Quadruple Bypass Music Festival started humbly with one venue and sixteen bands in downtown Austin. Now in its 14th year, the 2013 Heart of Texas Rock Fest will boast hundreds of indie acts in several nightclubs and bars and also on our enormous downtown outdoor stages. Motivated by the desire to support and promote the best yet-to-be discovered talent rising from the burgeoning Texas alternative rock scene, the event is strategically scheduled to coincide with Austin's annual South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Media, Film and Music Festival. Last year over 40,000 rockers came to our showcases!
Over 30,000 entertainment professionals and 200,000 people are expected to attend the ten days of interactive multi media, film, and music events, conferences, and trade shows in Austin. The 14th annual Heart of Texas Quadruple Bypass provides one more good excuse for music industry executives and cutting edge indie bands to come to Austin in March.
One Pretty Minute were signed to Broad Horizon Records in early 2012, releasing the EP 'Addict' featuring the single 'Hurt You' which is gaining airplay internationally as well as enjoying airplay on KHRN (dallas) & 99.7 The Blitz (Columbus).
OPM completed a successful fall tour in 2012 and are gearing up for their 'Addict 2013 Tour' before hitting the spring/summer festival circuit.
Hard Rock veterans THE MIGHTY SWINE were nominated for a Cincinnati Entertainment Award in the Hard Rock Category for 2013.
The annual celebration of Greater Cincinnati’s rich music scene commences with the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards (CEAs), and is a very prestigious event for the Greater Cincinnati Tri State area, and all the musicians who make up the Cincinnati Music Scene.
The 16th annual CEA ceremony will be held at Covington’s Madison Theater on Jan. 27, featuring more live performances than ever and first-time host Ted Clark, known for his monthly “live chat show” Ted Clark After Dark. Ted will present a special edition of Ted Clark After Dark at the after-party, this year held at The Loft, just around the corner from the Madison and above Tickets (the former home to the Rock club Radio Down). The after-party will also include the annual “Trashies,” presented by members of local Indie Pop legends The Fairmount Girls and honoring the best/worst/weirdest-dressed CEA attendees.
Visit citybeat.com this Friday to begin voting for your favorites. (The Critical Achievement awards will again be determined by the CEA nominating committee, a collective of local music experts that includes club owners, promoters, radio hosts, writers and others.)

Indie Music to Die For http://www.revolverunderground.com/
Leviathan Records released the '7 Hills Demo' today featuring 11 songs that would lead to the iconic 'World Gone Mad' + 'Praise the Loud' albums released in the mid 1980's featuring guitar wizard, David T. Chastain, and leading to a working relationship with Mike Varney & Shrapnel Records.
2 former members (Bassist/Vocalist - Mike Skimmerhorn + Vocalist / Guitarist - Russell Jinkens) would go on to record for Broad Horizon Records (The Mighty Swine + Cincinnati Sinners) while drummer Les Sharp continues to play in a Cincinnati based cover band (Black Bone Cat)
Killer hooks & solid guitar work, these demos showcase what was to become a breakout band from Cincinnati including sold out shows throughout the MidWest, Magazine Covers, and Interviews.
A cross between Chastain's earlier band SPIKE & the CJSS that I know (1985+) this disc highlights why fans were so avid & loyal 25trs later.

Sin IS In!
The Cincinnati Sinners slip to #10 for week ending Oct 28, 2012 on ClassX Radio's weekly Play List right above Chickenfoot & slightly below Kiss, Kings of Leon, and Aerosmith....not a bad place to be!
While the single, She's the One, is taking off, Russell went back into the studio with Engineer Rob Nadler (Fat Track Studios) to finish up tracks from their forthcoming E.P. "C*cks*cker Jones"
The bad boys of the Nasty 'nati opened for Jackyl Friday Oct 25 sans bassist Ruy Garcia who was out due to an arm injury. The guys pulled off a decent set before Wayland & Jackyl finished up the night on.
Singer/Guitarist Russell Jinkens had a chance to talk to Jesse DuPree after the show and hoefully the biys will be heading out to Sturgis soon. As you know, Jesse appears on TRU TVs 'Full Throttle Saloon' when not touring or promoting his new whiskey which is sort of a smoother Jack Daniels but not quite so smooth Crown Royal.
It appears the Sinners will be taking off the rest of the year for Rudy's arm to heal, mixing the album, and settling in with friends & family for the holidaze.
Here's to 2013!!
The Cincinnati Sinners jump from #27 to #7 week ending Oct.14 on 89.1 ClassX Radio with the release of their single, She's the One. Eddy Mullet & the entire staff at ClassX (along with Brian Basher - KHRN - Dallas TX) have been spinning the new single the last few weeks when 'someone' leaked the single to them.
She's the One was officially released 10.11.12 and is being picked up all over the nation by various radio stations.

The Cincinnati Sinners release the first single (She's the One) of their forthcoming album (She Wants Her Daddy) due out Feb 2013.
Already in rotation on several stations after being leaked to several DJs, STO is getting good reviews.
The album features (Not Going) Back to Jail, She Wants Her Daddy, Cocksucker Jones, and Tears (Fall Like Rain).
Classic 80s rock with hints of the 70s & 90s ala Kiss, AC/DC, Jackyl, Aerosmith, more.
Recorded at Rob Nadler's FAT TRACK Studio in Forest Park OH, this single is more polished than the previous 'THUNDER' and shows a growth in songrwriting & performing.
