ZYR & BD Team Up For The Kitchen

Zero Youth and Balls Deep Productions are throwing a benefit June 9th- to include some of your favorite bands(Queen City Saints, Flawless, The BoogeyMen, Only The Brave, The Itch and CodexRed), and all proceeds will benefit The Kitchen, Inc.

Founded in 1983, and located at 1630 N. Jefferson Ave in the heart of downtown Springfield, The Kitchen has been a beacon of hope for nearly 30 years. Not only serving as a shelter and food pantry, The Kitchen also offers counseling services, healthcare(through The Kitchen Clinic) and an incredible assortment of life skills and educational services, youth programs, advocacy and outreach groups, all with a focus on homelessness prevention.

Outland Ballroom will open the doors at 8pm June 9th and $5($7 for minors) will go directly to The Kitchen, and your body will go directly to the dance floor in front of the stage. We truly hope to see ALL of you there, but you can help our town in so many ways by just spreading the word.

More information on The Kitchen can be found here:

Zero Youth Records Softball Team

For fans of sweaty rock n’ rollers, soft balls, and sports that involve beer; Zero Youth Records is proud to announce our softball team’s Summer league has begun! So grab a friend head on down to Summers at the River Sports Complex every Monday night to see Springfield’s finest punks, drunks, and hellraisers beat down the competition and look good doing it!

Schedule can be found here: http://www.riversoftball.com/SumMonSoftballLatest.htm

Angry Punk Fury From The Panda Unleashed

Most of Springfield’s downtown scene knows Angry Panda as the smooth voice, clever quips, and acoustic guitar of the sideburned/not mustachioed and oft singular Timmy. For more than ten years he has canvased the area solo as Angry Panda, guitar (sometimes ukelele) in hand, but no more; or at least, not as much.

Angry Panda has gained(level up!)two lovable, furry, new bass and drum playing members(both with qualifying sideburns)- which means Angry Panda(now usually a full band) can be seen playing with all three fellas- at a venue near you! We at ZYR are extremely excited about this, and want to send big, embarrassing, virtual family-reunion-style hugs to Chris and Justin. Let the fun begin!

Upcoming show information as well as all kinds of awesome can be found in these places:
