Shawn Stoddard Donates to Charity

Singer-Songwriter Shawn Stoddard will be using his talent to raise money for two charities Love Hope Strength and The Fender Music Foundation. For every song sold from his debut cross-over album “Further Down That Road,” 50% of proceeds will be donated to Love Hope Strength, while the other 50% will be donated to The Fender Music Foundation.

"I am very fortunate to be able to have a profession that I love,” said Stoddard. “By donating all song sales to Love Hope Strength and The Fender Music Foundation, I am able to give the gift of music to somebody else and maybe even save a life.”

Love Hope Strength is an international, music-centric cancer charity dedicated to providing support for cancer centers, and inspiration to those affected, throughout the world. Their mission is to save lives, right now, with the advances that have already been made in cancer care. They do not fund cancer research, rather they use their funds to purchase medical equipment and supplies, raise awareness through special events, documentaries and media, build cancer centers and find bone marrow donors.

The Fender Music Foundation is a music charity funded by people who want to change the state of music education, people who believe music is an integral part of society and want to make music more accessible to everyone. The donations received provide instruments to school music classrooms, after school programs and music therapy programs. They also select programs that are in-need, ongoing, sustainable and give more people the opportunity to make music.

“By writing and performing music I am able to give back to the community and hopefully inspire others,” said Stoddard. “That is why I only perform at charity events. It is my way of saying thanks to those who have supported me along the way. ”
