It is a little known fact that making a record bankrupts most bands. Even on major labels with huge 1990's machines behind some of your favorite bands, they never pay off what they spend making a record.
It was with great joy that we made our final payment on Friday 12/3/10. Our record production costs have been completely paid off with revenue from gigs and sales. It is important to thank Jon Burbank for his patience. It is also important to thank every single person that has downloaded a song or the whole thing, and even anyone that has streamed "In the Pines" on Rhapsody.
Tiny, DIY, baby steps? Yes, but still progress. We are debt free, and genuinely like each other. Root Jack is a successful band... don't let anyone tell you any different.
