Imaginary 2012 Southern Tour T Shirt Available March 1st

It should be here in a couple of weeks. Pappy Middleton at Palmyra Studios gave permission to put a photo of his old Chevy on the front (thanks Pappy!). I like that car because it pretty much encapsulates my music. The design was done by Josh Hoover, the guy who also did my documentary. There will be print on the back as well with locations, dates, and cancellation reasons ranging from broken down vehicles to crowd apathy. Sizes will come in medium, large, extra large, and fat ass.

Bumpkin ex girlfriend update

I'm talking with an old girlfriend a couple nights ago about the possibility of getting back together. I ask her, "If we get back together, are you going to boss me around all the time like you did before?" She said, "Probably."

Old Man Warner's bio from IAC Music. No-holds-barred

Content originally posted by Old Man Warner at http://www.iacmusic.com/Starmaker.aspx?id=123165. I wonder if he is still alive or if he is fake and this is just a reference to the Shirley Jackson character. Either way I think he is entertaining.

Burger King fun

I used to live in the better part of town. Now that I moved back to the sketchy part of town, there is always something happening. Somebody beating the crap out of someone in the parking lot. Someone talking to themselves in the parking lot. Today I went to Burger King and ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich. As I was placing my order inside, some marbles flew by my head and almost hit the cashier. I turned around and saw a really pissed lady sitting in the first booth mouthing off about a bad hamburger. Then I guess she was glad she got our attention, because she then threw more marbles at the cashier. I told her that BK should just call the cops on her. I think she thought that would be a good idea, since she then got up out of the booth and proceeded to knock over the cookie display. The cops came. The chicken parmesan sandwich wasn't really very good.

Forgotten Irish Tune from 2005

Back in 2005, I recorded an EP called Second Best Demo Ever Made. On it contained two songs written by my uncle and friend, D.B Dooley. D.B Dooley is an accomplished painter (and I'm not talking about house painting) and can write a mean Irish tune. For years, I thought it was a mistake for me to try to get this song out to people. I thought that it might interfere with the overall Bumpkin persona, whatever that may be. I then told myself, "Self, you need to put this song out there for the sake of the song itself." So I did. And here it is. This is one of 3 songs under the Bumpkin name not written by me. I played acoustic rhythm guitar in this song, and as you can tell it's very low in the mix, as it should be. John Peck (Louisiana Hayride in the 1980's) has a really cool violin solo in there too. I hope you enjoy with some Irish beer. Right now I will enjoy it with Coors light, which is not Irish.
