Ethereal Fire Update

Well we haven't posted a blog for a while but thought it would be better to sum it all up in one.

Flash back to our last 2010 gig at the Prince Albert in Brighton. We wrapped up a good year after a good 25 gigs, said goodbye and took a well earned break over Christmas.

Early January saw us back in the studio writing a whole new set with a different subject to capture. The First album was primarily based around traumatic experiences of losing someone and the vast feelings/experiences of going through this stage so the new album would have to be a completely different matter.

Work began on 'Precession of the Equinox' an experimental and slightly out there mix of tracks including setting, nibiru and the newly gigged insert future, a bluesey mix up of different sounds/timings with Jonno and Andy trading off riffs at the end.

Feb saw us back on the gigging circuit, showcasing some new songs at barhouse, St annes and recently the Fleece as well as a one off acoustic set at O'Neills in southend, while we finish off and push the new album to its limits.

So it comes to the beginning of April and we are happy to say we have a full month of gigging, both locally,AND a break into Cambridge.

We also have an upcoming launch date of our Debut album which is in the process of being recorded/mixed and the release date will be posted up on this page soon so watch this space.

Finally we would like to thank everyone for supporting us and hope to see you at one of our upcoming tour dates :)...

Ethereal Fire Return 2011

So we are back on the gig circuit for 2011 starting at good old Barhouse Chelmsford. This was a low key event for us to test drive the new songs in a live setting, we played 3 new ones Shadows/Setting and Nibiru and they went down a storm. We mixed in some of the old favourites ending on probably the best version of Superficial we have played including an extended outro breakdown which caught some fans by pleasent surprise. There are new songs coming all the time until it is a full new set so every gig on the listings will be debuting a new song, next up is The Railway Southend on March 8th and have we got a tune to break out for you so come along and have a look. And keep checking because new gig dates are always being added. Andy EF
