RECORDING..RECORDING..RECORDING

HNIC have been locked in the bowels of some heavy duty recording of late, hoping to get our EP in order for our live reappearance in April. Hope to see some folks along to see us reemerge unscathed on Friday 6th April with The Ruckus and The Cathode Ray at Drummonds and at the Stanley album launch at The Lemon Tree on Saturday April 14th, along with Stanley (of course) and Danny Young. Happy days :)

THE LUCID DREAM/HNIC/CAROUSELS @ TUNNELS

Last night saw HNIC play as support to Carlisle's The Lucid Dream, along with The Carousels and Aberdeen's DJ Mr Yogi. It was a really fantastic night, thanks to all for their support and kind words and huge thanks to The Lucid Dream for making the trek and knocking out a cracking set. It was a quality evening of music.

HNIC IN FLANAGANS LIVE SHOW SHOCKER

In a dramatic development, HNIC got on it at Flanagan's up a lane in Elgin, Northern Scotia last night and yes, the crowd really did shout for more (it wasn't just a rumour banded about to boost waning popularity). There was no more to be had however and HNIC did kick back to enjoy Glasgow's Selective Service and Carpet Sellers of gay Pareeee. All went moderately well and talk was banded about of a slot at the forthcoming Mad Ferret festival deep in the bowels of East Grange. Watch this space.

Here is a rundown of the songs as they appeared on the night...

1. MAGDALENA 2. REPLICA GUN 3. SETTIN' UP FOR THE SUMMER 4. YOU GOTTA BE OUT LONG ENOUGH (TO BE BACK IN) 5. GOTTA GET ME OUT

Yes, five songs a half hour do make.

As you were...

WHO WILL GIVE US A GIG NEXT??

After the highs of the Keith Show Sunday Hoedown at the Fife, HNIC return to the relative squalor of their practice hall this Saturday to hone their rusty skills. All went well it would seem, despite Martin of drums having a near death hangover post Aberlour games and Lyn getting a bit hooked on the electric shock treatment the mic provided. The question remains though pop-pickers....

Who will give us a gig next????
